Wellbeing Centre & Resources

The Wellbeing Centre provides a valuable support and reference service for students and families.

Students can access short-term counselling with our Wellbeing Team which includes school-based specialists; Psychologist, Mental Health Practitioner and Student Wellbeing Coordinator.

This team works closely with parents, staff, external practitioners and community organisations to support students with learning differences or complex needs. In situations where regular or longer-term counselling is required, students and families can be supported to access external services.

Parents can request a referral to the Wellbeing Centre through their child’s Year Level Leader or by completing a Parent Referral Form. Students can also request support directly at the Wellbeing Centre.

To access support outside of school, GPs can make referrals to psychologists under Medicare’s Better Access to Mental Health scheme.

Students can access the Enhancing Mental Health in Secondary Schools (EHMSS) program at Headspace Collingwood. This program enables students experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns to access short-term, time-limited intervention without a referral from a GP.
