As a College, we have many reasons to be proud. The positive outcomes achieved by our students reflect the collective work of our entire community. Below is a brief overview of the academic achievements of our 2025 Year 12 students:
- 214 students undertook their final VCE studies in 2025.
- 100% of students successfully achieved their VCE Certificate.
- The median Study Score was 32.
- 12.1% of Study Scores were 40+.
- 23% of students attained an ATAR of 90 or above.
- 49% of students attained an ATAR of 80 or above.
- The student awarded the MGC DUX was Ada Breach, who attained an ATAR of 99.55.
Each Year 12 student’s journey has been unique. Their success is not only a reflection of each young person’s commitment and hard work, but also a celebration of their entire educational journey at Melbourne Girls’ College. Our investment in every student begins in Year 7, and we deliberately and explicitly build upon this throughout their time at MGC.
While we rightly celebrate these academic achievements, it is important to remember that an ATAR or a set of Study Scores does not define a person. Our aim is to challenge students to build the rich knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence that will enable them to explore their chosen pathways, influence their communities, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
On behalf of the entire MGC community, we congratulate our Year 12 students. To our teachers and staff, thank you for your dedication, expertise and tireless efforts in guiding and supporting our students. To our families, your encouragement, patience and support have been invaluable throughout this journey.
We look forward to seeing the contributions our graduates will make and the many different ways they will continue to “Lead and Achieve” beyond Melbourne Girls’ College.
