Congratulations to Alex Saveski (class of 2023), who, at the TOP ARTS After-hours teen event on April 19, was invited to be on a panel with the curator of the NGV TOP ARTS 2024 exhibition, John Parkinson, to discuss her two artworks present in the exhibition, ‘Girl Box’ and ‘Primitive Skin’.
TOP ARTS 2024 showcases outstanding work from students who completed the new VCE study designs Art Making and Exhibiting and Art Creative Practice in 2023. Alex is joined in the exhibition by Julia Wang and Gwyneth op’t Hoog (class of 2023). Alex, Julia, and Gwyneth are among the 40 artists chosen from 1400 applicants across Victoria to participate in the exhibition.
The TOP ARTS 2024 exhibition runs until July 14 at NGV Australia (Federation Square). I encourage the Melbourne Girls’ College school community to support Alex, Julia, and Gwyneth by viewing their remarkable work and voting for the People’s Choice Award at the exhibition.
