Confucius Classroom
The Confucius Classroom at Melbourne Girls’ College has a close association with the Confucius Institute at the University of Melbourne.
At Melbourne Girls’ College, we have two specialist teachers of Chinese. We also have two local Chinese assistants who help with students’ needs across the year levels. The Confucius Classroom supports a great variety of activities such as the Chinese Culture Day, traditional festival celebrations, excursions to museums, cinemas and Chinese restaurants. We run a biennial international study tour to China where students can immerse themselves in the culture first-hand.
Our aim is to inspire student interest in culture, language, and the diversity of the world. The magic of Asia is awaiting to be explored.
