We hope that all our students have had a positive start to Term 4 and we thank you for all your support during the Course Counselling and Subject Selection process in Term 3.Early next week, students will be emailed their subject allocations for the 2021 school year and we will begin the Course Confirmation process for next year. Students will be emailed their subject allocations by Mei Francis (Timetabler) and we advise all students and families to direct any questions regarding these to the relevant Year Level Leader or the relevant Assistant Principal.
During the course of next week, which begins on Monday 26th October, students will each receive a Course Confirmation (2021) booklet, which details the steps needed to be taken by students and families in order to confirm subjects for the new school year. A copy of the booklet for each year level will also be uploaded onto Compass and available in the School Documentation Folder under the ‘Community’ tab should you require an additional copy.
Students will be required to attend a scheduled appointment during their allocated Course Confirmation day in November. During this time, students will be able to:
- Confirm their subject choices for 2021
- Pay for or arrange payment plans for 2021
- Pay for 2021 elective/optional charges
- Sight and agree to the MGC Student Engagement and Inclusion Guidelines, Uniform Policy, Mobile Phone Policy, Internet and ICT Acceptable Use Policy, Photos Permission and Annual Permissions
Listed below are the dates for Course Confirmation 2021. Students will be emailed a schedule of times for their relevant day, during which time they will need to return the completed and signed course confirmation forms to the general office.
Monday 9th November 2020: Year 11 students entering Year 12 in 2021
Wednesday 11th November 2020: Year 10 students entering Year 11 in 2021
Friday 13th November 2020: Year 9 students entering Year 10 in 2021
Monday 16th November 2020: Year 8 students entering Year 9 in 2021
Please note that in line with COVID-19 Department of Education guidelines, parents/carers are not permitted onsite.
